Durability
In drilling applications requiring durable motor bits for high speed and directional use, ReedHycalog® Precision Logarithmic Roller bearings
provide strength and reliability.
Used in Titan and EMS rock bits, the precision logarithmic roller bearings feature a crowned design. Contours ground on the roller ends minimize
stress, reduce spalling, and extend bearing life.
The bearing package also includes large diameter ball bearings for cone retention
and to act as a secondary thrust bearing.
Design Features
Special heat-treating processes optimize material properties of the lug and cutter bearing surfaces. Other features include:
- Silver-plated thrust washers for lubrication and reduced wear.
- Texturized radial seals to extend durability.
- Specially-formulated lubricants.
