All our Rotary Steerable bits include generic features to give optimal levels of stability, steerability, durability and ROP. The medium flat/ shallow cone profile and mathematical modeling ensure that the bit is highly laterally stable in a wide range of formations and at a broad range of ROPs. Low Aspect Ratios and the profile, along with gauge design, ensure the appropriate level of steerability to allow the dogleg required to be achieved with low power settings. TReX® and DiamondBack cutters give unrivaled durability. Large cutters with low backrakes and high levels of lateral stability deliver more ROP. Gauge design is a critical part of Rotary Steerable bit performance. Selection of the optimal gauge design is very dependent on your drilling application. For instance, if you have to perform an open hole sidetrack or require high Dogleg Severities (DLS) then the Active Gauge is the recommended option. At the other end of the spectrum, for long, high angle tangent sections the SteeringWheel gauge is recommended.
