Turbine sleeves are designed to be contiguous with the gauge pads. The sleeves are used for additional stability when the bit is being run on a downhole turbine where depth-of-cut is very low and the risk of lateral vibration is at its highest.

ReedHycalog® offers several configurations of turbine sleeve.

• RT - All tungsten carbide buttons.
• DT - 50% of total length(25% top, 25% bottom) diamond inserts. Centre section is tungsten carbide buttons.
• PT - 50% of total length (25% top, 25% bottom) PDC inserts. Centre section is tungsten carbide buttons.
• PDT - 50% of total length (25% top, 25% bottom) PDC inserts. Centre section is diamond inserts.
• FDT - 100% diamond inserts.
• FPT - 100% PDC buttons.
• MT - Matrix turbine gauge. Cast spiral gauge with natural diamonds. Maximum gauge length 12". Not available on bits larger than 12 1/4".
